Gradient Bar
The legend displays an 18 px-wide gradient bar that reproduces the active color scale from the minimum to the maximum value. Five tick labels are drawn alongside the bar, evenly distributed across the range.
Large values are automatically abbreviated:
| Range | Displayed as |
|---|---|
| ≥ 1 000 000 000 | e.g. 1.2B |
| ≥ 1 000 000 | e.g. 3.5M |
| ≥ 1 000 | e.g. 42K |
| < 1 000 | Full number |
Position choice
- Right (default) — works well for wide visuals where vertical space is at a premium
- Left — mirrors the default, useful when the right side of the visual is crowded
- Bottom — best for tall or square visuals; the bar runs horizontally beneath the plot area
